BWMCA and the Buderim Craft Cottage are hosting an Art Prize commemorating the 100 Year Buderim War Memorial Celebration.
Local artists with reflections of Buderim are encouraged to participate.

Artists’ submissions can be unlimited.
Painting size guide submission must be ready to hand with a total overall perimeter including a frame not to exceed 2.4 m.
Medium is oil, acrylic, pastels and watercolour.
Entry is free.

Artists of the submitted paintings will be contacted and asked to bring their work to the Atrium Gallery at Buderim Craft Cottage at 5 Main St Buderim.
The submitted paintings will be hung on the 1st November in the Buderim Craft Cottage Atrium Gallery for one week before the Hall Celebration. The Atrium Gallery will be open to the public from Saturday 1st November until Sunday 10th November.
Artists will be promoted on BWMCA & Buderim Craft Cottage social media accounts and in newsletters.
1st Prize: $500.00
2nd Prize: $250.00
3rd Prize: $100.00
Public Choice: $50.00

‘Spirit of Buderim Art Prize’ Winners Announced: 2.00 pm on Saturday 9th November 2024.
All paintings will be for sale with proceeds going to the artist with 15% to the BWMCA.
Winners’ Paintings will be displayed at the Old Post Office, 50 Burnett Street, Buderim from Monday 11 November - Friday 15 November 2024

Entries must be the artist’s original work
Photography, digital or artist assisted works are not acceptable.
Entry form and statement to be completed and declared/signed by artist.
Each art entry is to have a label attached clearly showing title, medium, artist’s name, contact details, selling price.
All works must be for sale with BWMCA retaining 15% commission. Artists are not to organise sales of exhibited works via any platform during the exhibition.
Please ensure that you have submitted the correct information about your works as no changes can be made after your entry has been received.
In its absolute discretion, BWMCA and Buderim Craft Cottage reserves the right to refuse any inappropriate material.
The judges’ decisions are final and no correspondence will be entered into.
Entries close at midnight on Sunday 13th October 2024. Delivery of artworks to Buderim Craft Cottage by Friday 1st November between 9.00 am – 1.00 am. Collection of works is from 3.30pm until 5.00 pm on Saturday 9th November.
All artworks will remain in the exhibition until its closing at 2.00 pm on Sunday 9th November 2024. Please don’t ask for an earlier exit of your works. Artworks can be collected on Sunday 10th November 2024 between 2.00 pm and 3.00 pm.
Entrants agree to allow BWMCA & Buderim Craft Cottage non–exclusive right to use images for promotional purposes.
Unsold work not collected by 2:30pm Friday 15th November, may be disposed of at the organisers’ discretion.
While BWMCA and Buderim Craft Cottage takes every care, we will not be responsible for any loss or damage at the exhibition or in transit. We strongly advise entrants to insure their own artworks.
